The end is a whirlwind… !

Standard

Hey folks-

I’m updating from LAX! I was so busy near the end of my trip I didn’t get a chance to update the last week-ish!

For starters: Luke and I made one last vacation to Tainan, which is in Southern Taiwan. We left Wednesday night and came back to Taipei on Friday night, so it was a short trip. However, it was interesting, if not a little boring :/. We bought tickets to do a city tour, thinking we would be getting on a HUGE tour bus, making stops all over the city… It wasn’t quite that way. You see, the bus was a regular city bus, running to both historic sites and every day stops like Starbucks. Some of the stops were a walk from the main road, which wasn’t terrrible, but the busses only ran once every hour and stopped around 5 or 6. So, we ended up going to Sunset Beach, and got left. So, we took a taxi back to the original station… Ugh. Then we made our way by bus to the Salt Musuem, which closed in our faces at 4:40, even though they were open until 5:30 :(( Bad luck for sights, but we had good luck eating! Lots of delicious crab and shrimp in the Night Market, which Luke peeled. I appreciated this because otherwise my hands would have been filled with shrimp shells and brains. Hey now, I took care of the crab! 😉

On Saturday night, Luke and I had delicious hot pot with our friends Jason and Carly! It was first for me, and the place was great! OH, I forgot. We also had frozen beer! Now that is one awesome invention!

Later that Saturday, Luke and I went to KTV (Basically, a Karaoke hotel) with Dick, and his brother and wife. They are so serious about having fun! They taught us a few Native Taiwanese dances and always danced for my songs haha (It helps to get it going with songs like Lovefool and My Humps). Great night!!

On Sunday, I had my last brunch date with Maggie! We went to a cafe and got delicious waffles and caramel milk tea!

Later that day was PACKING… ugh. It took forever. Like, until we left for the airport Monday morning.

Anyway, the flight from Taipei to LAX was pretty normal, just movies and sleeping. (WE ALL NEED TO WATCH THE MOVIE A WEDDING INVITATION. It has my favorite Taiwanese/Canadian actor, Eddie Peng in it. He is gorg!)

Now the cool part starts… LAX layover of 8 hours. Hopefully the boyfriend will be here soon… I am le bored 😉 On the plus side, I met Redfoo and completely missed that his girlfriend is #1 in the tennis world right now *facepalm
